Hello everyone, as you are reading this I’m imagining you are interested in starting a new diet. Let me start by saying that you are making a great choice! Changing your diet will also change your life. The amount of health benefits this can have is amazing but it can have its downsides if it is not done properly.
Changing your diet can have its side effects, although, in the long run, it will improve your health greatly. But doing it properly will avoid these side effects and will also give you much better, faster results in future! This side effects can be painful intestinal, bloating and other pains in the torso to the stomach area. This pain can be avoided by some simple tips we will give you today. Here is How to Diet safely ~ The correct way to transition to a healthier diet with tips!
How To Diet Safely?
The side affects of dieting can be avoided from some simple steps and procedures. These will not take very long and will greatly improve your results. But first of all we need to consider why you are changing your diet. Are you trying to lose weight? Or are you trying to gain weight? Trying to get your blood sugar under control? There are many options but I will speak generally as changing any diet will have its side affects.
Method 1- Gradually change Fibre to your diet.
Gradually change Fibre to your diet.
One of the main issues when changing your diet is amount of fibre you are gaining or losing. Change in fibre are what causes all of these terrible side effects and a unorganised diet will also have these affects that’s why its important to have a healthy diet.
But this fibre issue can easily be avoided with out guidance and I think you’ll find its easier than you think. The trick is to gradually change the amount of fibre in your diet. For example; if every night you have brocoli on your plate and you want more, its best to simply add a bit more every night. I think you get the idea, dont just jump straight into it!
Foods high in fibre may include:
- Fruit and Vegetables.
- Nuts.
- Broccoli / Green leaves.
- Whole grains (Cereals).
- Potatoes (Keep that skin on)!
Method 2- Choose the right diet.
Choose the right diet.
Some diets can make one very unwell and feel very sick. Such as crash diets. Which means you losing all of your carbs. Think about it guys, switching from eating a good amount of food per day to literally nothing, crash dieting is one I would not suggest. This is something falsely advertised a lot on social media.
You should really do your research before choosing a diet as there are many out there which are for different things. For instance doing a weight loss diet to gain weight would not be the best idea would it. So make sure you choose the right ones, if you have no idea of any diets look below to find some alternatives.
Some diets you can try: (Do your research first before starting).
- The Paleo Diet.
- The Vegan Diet.
- The Dukan Diet.
- The Ultra-Low-Fat Diet.
- The Atkins Diet.
- The HCG Diet.
- The Zone Diet.
Method 3- Do not use detox diets!
Do not use detox diets!
Let me get one thing straight with you. Detox diets DO NOT WORK! Detox diets may seem to work at first but they really don’t and only truly bring health downfalls. I’ll go into why it doesn’t work in just a moment but a great way of putting this form of diet in words is modified fasting! As we should know fasting is the worst thing you can do to yourself bringing health risks such as in some/many cases death…
Detox diets say to have toxins put into your from the food that the diet includes but. Where is the evidence? There is no true scientific evidence of these toxins building up in your body, and if this was the case we would be very ill let me tell you that. Also another point on the evidence is please don’t believe any of this tropical island discovery nonsense you find yourself reading about on these other websites, they are just trying to sell to you.
Go all natural the right way, and choose the right diet.
Method 4- Do your research!
Do your research!
These cabbage soups, teas, blood group and 5:2 Diets are usually too far fetched and get too much love and attention. The NHS have even supported this quote. My point is there are many other cheaper alternatives out there which do not require 6 hours wages. So do your research.
Research into as many different diets as you can and maybe even create your own if you have a couple of spare minutes. This is not hard to do and will be much cheaper on your end. This will be a very easy process as you have the intelligence to feed yourself don’t you?
But you must remember to add all of the food groups and nutrients your personal body needs. I’m sure if your GP is not busy they would be happy to go over some things with you, who knows they might even create a plan for you!
Method 5- Do not exclude food!
Do not exclude food groups!
Excluding food groups can be extremely dangerous for your health, causing terrible side affects, (gas). These side affects can be very painful and easily avoided. So we have established that this is dangerous, but how dangerous can this be.
This may seem very extreme but this can be extremely dangerous, change in diet and missing food groups can make you ill, can cause head aches and worst of all vomiting and vomiting can lead to dehydration in many cases this leads to death. It may seem rare for this to happen all down to missing groups but there are cases out there and you need to be aware of these things.
Why should you change for a healthier diet?
Adopting a healthier diet can decrease your chances of getting diseases such as CHD (Coronary Heart Disease), some Cancers and type 2 Diabetes. It can also help get blood pressure under control and increase life expectancy. Adopting a healthier diet will not only have physical benefits, it will also have psychological benefits and mental health benefits like less chance of depression and anxiety and if already a diagnosis of a mental health disorder it can reverse these affects.
Its a 100% that adopting a healthier lifestyle will change your life for the better.
Quick and easy tips so you can get more out of your dieting journey.
- Do not skip your breakfast as this will do the opposite to losing weight. It is all down to your metabolism and you will regret doing this, it also causes some discomfort.
- Eat regular meals, as well as breakfast eating all three breakfast lunch and dinner is just as important, again stopping eating these will not stop you losing weight.
- EAT YOUR VEGETABLES! Fruit and veg are extremely important as they include lots of fibre but don’t rush into it, gradually give it to yourself.
- Get more active on top of your dieting, you’ll see changes much faster, believe me.
- Drink plenty of water as these include the proper minerals your body needs to sustain a proper, safe diet.
- Read the food labels, it is very important to know what you are eating.
- Use a smaller plate. This is more psychological but doing this will make your body think you have eaten more than you have.
