5 Weight Loss Remedies that Work…

1# – The Real Reason Weight Gain Occurs

First up, let’s start with the real reason weight loss occurs.  I know it may seem quite obvious.  It is to do with the human body and how much fat is stored.  Although saying this, it is much more of a complex matter.  Our hormones for one play a very big part in how much that we weigh.  There is metabolism as well, and this I will explore further in a future post.  But in short, it mostly comes down to what we eat, when we eat, and also how much we eat.

This is very much what the word diet implies, but other than this there are these following tips that can be followed with these 5 remedies in this post.   Note:  By remedies we mean tips, we aren’t going to be trying to sell you anything.

2# – #Remedies to Help You Lose Weight

i – Drink Plenty of Water.

I know you may not realize it but that pain in your stomach does not always mean hunger! It can also mean your thirsty, so next time this happens maybe try to drink some water before getting some food and see if this helps. Who knows this may very well surprise you.

Drinking water from the tap and bottles also include lots of great minerals which will surely improve your weight loss results. Who knew water was so effective?

ii – Eat Foods High in Fibre.

Eating foods high in fibre will 100% improve your results if you choose the right ones. First of all, fibre clears out your intestinal regions which may confuse that hunger feeling in your stomach. But high in fibre foods actually can be really healthy and that’s not it there is another upside of fibre. These foods massively fill you up and will keep you going much longer than what you were probably eating before.

These foods are plant-based and here are some examples: Beans, Pasta, Oats, Wheat, Fruit and Vegetables, Brown bread, Brown rice and also Brown sugar will work better than normal sugar, and it is much sweeter. If interested I can make a recipe article with meals rich in fibre, (Comment below if interest or any other posts).

iii – Plan your meals.

I was trying not to go into lifestyle tips in this article but from what I have discovered planning your meals can not only help your organisation and mental health, it can also massively help you lose weight. I know its hard to get the time sometimes to do these things but you can always get your GP to help you out or even pay someone to get a plan sorted for you.

Planning meals should include the number of calories and also consider food groups, (Fibre, Fats/ Oils, Sugar, etc). Plus another benefit is possibly a bit less money spent on that old shopping list of yours.

iv – Cut down on alcohol.

I know it sounds crazy to some but, drinking alcohol can support weight gain massively. A glass of wine can have the same amount of calories as a piece of chocolate. This may not sound great to some of you as drinking is a large part of the culture for many countries but your drinking has a large part to play in weight gain.

Some tips for cutting down on drinking are, telling your friends and family the news, clearing the house of alcohol, consistency, I will be sure to make a post on this in the future.

v – Get more active.

I didn’t want to add this to the list at first as it is too overused in weight loss guides, but I did decide to add it as it’s not listened to enough. Obese people obviously find physical activity harder than those of an average weight due to reasons which are to do with energy levels. But at least try doing a bit more physical activity than normal. This does not even mean exercise, just do more than you are currently doing. This will be sure to show results.

For instance, simply walking to the shops instead of waiting for someone else to go for you. Or even taking the dog for a walk.

Now you know to lose the weight, we really need to go into how to not put it back on. As sadly for most cases of obesity after losing the weight, it usually comes back. So now we are going to be going into preventing the weight/obesity from returning to your body as it may be a bit much for your body to handle.

3# – How to Prevent Putting it Back On

As mentioned before its likely for most people that the weight will return to your body after periods of time which is quite frustrating for most people. This often leads to bad mental health and other physical health issues. This returning weight will likely be much worst than before possibly leading to Type 2 Diabetes or Coronary Heart Disease.

But the reason this weight often returns to peoples body is due to your body being so comfortable that they feel they can go back to their own ways. They feel as if they are at a perfect weight so they can get rid of the diet plans and exercise as they aren’t worried about the future impact.

It’s all down to binge eating, they were craving their old favourites so much and now at this state they felt as if they could eat all of the things they wanted. This often leads to the addictions to sugar they had before and will most likely be worst than before.

So hopefully this can help you understand why the weight comes back and how you can keep your weight under control. Don’t binge eat!

  1. I didn’t know about the alcohol part, wow! And here I was thinking that it’s only beer belly that’s causing me to gain weight but now that you mention it, certain alcoholic drinks do have high sugar content among other things which make them very flavourful. Do you think alcohol drink with no added ingredient like vodka still has that effect on weight gain?

    1. First of all thanks for the feedback. But yes all Alcohol will have affects on your weight. It really affects hormones and weight. Im not saying dont drink alcohol as it is a part of culture and can help social health but too much of it can be bad.

  2. Hello, I enjoyed the read. Do you do any of these habits yourself? We’ve recently started getting back into the habit of these habits, and they do work. I think mentioning fiber is great and that a lot of people misunderstand that fiber’s purpose is balance with a few tid bits of functions among other things. Fiber mostly serves as a balancer and makes things move the way they’re supposed to.

  3. Hello, this is a very awesome piece and a very detailed one. I’m really happy I came across this as the information I’m getting from here is standard. Am really happy to be part of this platform thank you for all the knowledge and experience that I have now thank you very much healthy x life world for the knowledge I really appreciate it keep it up

  4. Hello,
Your first suggestion about drinking more water is a fantastic way to help with weight loss. Not only does water help you to feel full, you need to drink a certain amount of water each day to help your body function well and keep you hydrated.
Becoming more active will also help with weight loss. Every couple of hours you should stop what you are doing and go for a walk. The outside air will help relax you and give you more energy to continue with other tasks.
I look forward to the other articles you mentioned you want to write for your website.

    1. That is true and thank you forwarding my point. Water does make you full and is a great way to trick your mind into not wanting any more food but we still need to eat the correct amount of food.
